Twins avoid arbitration with Casilla

The Twins and Alexi Casilla have avoided arbitration by reaching a one year contract worth approx. $1.38M. Casilla has the inside track to be the Twins starting second baseman coming out of spring training. Casilla batted .260 with 21 doubles, two home runs and 21 RBI in 97 games last season.

Twins claim Mastroianni, cut Vasquez
