Congrats to the Women Gopher hockey team for winning the NCAA National Championship with a 4-2 win over Wisconsin. This is the Gopher’s 3rd championship but their first since 2004-05 season. The WCHA playoffs start March 8th and the Gophers will play 12th seed Alaska-Anchorage. Last years NCAA champions UMD Bulldogs earned the number 2 seed and will play 11th seed Minnesota State.
