Gophers introduce new Athletic Director Norwood Teague

 The Minnesota Gophers officially announced their new Athletic Director Norwood Teague to replace Joel Maturi. Minn. hockey players named to U.S. World Championship team

Today, USA Hockey announced 17 players that will compete for the 2012 U.S. Men’s National Team at the International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship. The tournament will start on May 4th and end on the 20th, in Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. FSN will televise three NCAA hockey regional semifinal games Saturday

Fox Sports North has announced it will televise three NCAA hockey regional semifinal games on Saturday. North Dakota vs. Western Michigan will be broadcast on Fox Sports North at 12:30 PM Saturday. Fox Sports North Plus will broadcast Gophers vs. Boston University at 4 PM and Minnesota Duluth vs. Maine at 6:30 PM.

Women Gophers defeat Badgers, Win hockey National Championship

 Congrats to the Women Gopher hockey team for winning the NCAA National Championship with a 4-2 win over Wisconsin. This is the Gopher’s 3rd championship but their first since 2004-05 season.
