Rubio and Love return, Roy heads for 7th knee surgery

Timberwolves fans should be getting used to this kind of news. Hours after hearing that Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love returned for 5-0 drills in practice reports surface that Brandon Roy is going to have arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee. This will be his 7th procedure since his days in high school. Tough to say you didn’t see these complications coming. Roy literally has no cartilage left in his knees and retired because of this. No time table on when he will return but I would estimate it at the 6 weeks mark. The Wolves have already dealt with the loss of Pekovic, Budinger, Barea, Love and Rubio for some part of the season.

The return of Love and Rubio creates some excitement but they still aren’t expected until the beginning to middle of December. Once they are back this is a playoff team. The question remains can the rest of the team carry the load on their backs? Each and every injury creates more and more doubt.
