NHL to cancel Winter Classic

It appears that the NHL will be cancelling it’s Winter Classic and All-Star games as they continue to argue on the two sides during this lockout.

It would seem to me, that by doing this they’re essentially, if not officially, saying goodbye to the season. The last time that the NHL had a lockout was 2004-2005. It’s sad that I had to look that up to remember it, but I wasn’t that big of a hockey fan. I’m not a huge one now, but I at least know some names now and have actually watched some games since the last lockout. Anyway, I can’t help but think that it’s part of Minnesota’s sports curse that the league seems doomed for another lockout. Finally the Wild put together a good team, and now we won’t even get to watch them play.

 Thanks NHL.
