I’m starting to think that Jerome Simpson doesn’t know another way to get by defenders other than leaping over them. He became a ESPN Sports Center Top 10 legend for famously flipping over a defender and landing in the endzone for a touchdown. Last night, he was at it again, this time, hurdling defender Jairus Byrd in the Vikings second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. This one wasn’t nearly as impressive since it was simply a hurdle and didn’t result in a touchdown. Of course, it is his preseason too so maybe he is just warming up for something much more impressing in the regular season.
Simpson is suspended the first 3 games of the season so Minnesota will need to jump off to a quick start without him until he returns September 30th at the Detroit Lions.
