It’s now official, Trevor Mbakwe will use his sixth year of eligibility next season and return to the Gophers basketball team. The video below was posted by the university to announce his return in dramatic fashion. The 2012-13 Gophers season will forever be linked with “Unfinished Business.” Mbakwe will re-join a team that finished 6-10 in the Big Ten but showed promise by making a run to the NIT championship game without him. The entire core of the team including Andre Hollins, Austin Hollins, Joe Coleman and Rodney Williams will be returning along with the addition of big man Mo Walker and the new recruiting class. With this roster, anything other than an appearance in the NCAA tournament will be a failure but most need to see even more than that.
